Laser cat suggested a bowl of rice to dry out the damaged phone.
I’m not sure how well this will work. It’s been my experience that putting the phone in a sealed plastic bag with the rice works, though. The point is for the rice to soak up all the water, and that’ll happen (at least, probably, more quickly) if the rice and phone are sealed up together.
